Teodora Borota - Personal WebPage

Welcome to my Homepage!

I am currently working as a research fellow (’foskare’) at the Department of Economics of the Uppsala University, Sweden.

My primary field of research is in economic growth and the interaction of international trade and technological progress/transfer. I am interested in the heterogeneous firms models of trade and growth, with endogenous R&D (innovation and imitation), and the mechanisms that determine the trade specialization patterns across regions at different development levels. Intellectual Property Rights protection and their effect on welfare and growth are of particular interest in such a context. More recently, I have been working on topics in the field of heterogeneous firms and labor market outcomes.

I obtained my Ph.D. in Economics from the European University Institute in December 2009. For a complete curriculum vitae please visit the CV page.
